Every second Tuesday of the month, the Gaydon British Motor Museum holds a free to enter car show. It's open to all cars, regardless of age, and a very impressive array of vehicles turned up on a spring evening in May.
I have reached the stage with my car that most of the major work is now completed. It has a new engine, gearbox, brakes, etc, etc, so 2024 is the year of driving rather than projects. The event at Gaydon just a couple of weeks after the Monday Club Cotswolds day out seemed another good way of getting some miles under the cars wheels. It's just over 50 miles to Gaydon from my house, and it's all motorway, so not the most thrilling drive, but I have just installed a new HIFI system, so some Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin, along with a Spotify podcast help to pass the miles. Me and Steve Payne were the first to arrive, so found a prime spot ![]() Steve in Concours mode! ![]() Chris Miller arrived shortly after, and we managed to line the cars up side by side ![]() The 2 car parks had filled up by now, so it was time for a wander around and have a look at the cars. There were cars that are now falling into the classic age, but still seem modern to me!
