Chris Miller was born in October 1961, and
grew up in Hull in the UK.
His
first sighting of an Interceptor was as a twelve year-old newspaper
delivery boy, delivering to the big house situated at the end of a
winding country lane; it was worth the long cycle ride just for a
glimpse of a fantastic sexy shape: and the brand new maroon MkIII
Interceptor on the drive was just as good!
Chris's
Next Jensen sighting was while working in London in 1979.
He
spotted a smashed up yellow Interceptor on a transporter awaiting some
unknown Destination
The registration
plate of CHR 1S made a lasting impression.
Fast-forwarding some twenty odd years of dull Company Car ownership and
then, at last, time, money and an empty garage all came together and a
proper Interceptor hunt was on.
Chris's
first Interceptor was chassis
136-8801, a 1973 "J" series MkIII, which started life as a
company directors executive express. Originally Havana Brown (nice
colour for cigars, crap for cars !) Its was resprayed Carmen Red.
This was the car that made the trip to Istanbul.
